【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesminimumrequirementsforlabelingprotectiveclothingasheatandflameresistantforapplicationswherethepotentialforflamecontactorhighheatexposureexist.1.1.1Thisspecificationincludesrequirementsthatdefineheatandflameresistanceofmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothinginamannertolimitthecontributionoftheclothingforcausinginjurytothewearerwhenexposedtohighheatorflame.1.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotproviderequirementsthatestablishthelevelofprotectionprovidedbytheclothing.1.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotincludetestingfortheevaluationoftheentireclothingitem.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotpertaintomaterialsandclothingthatareaddressedinotherstandards.SeeAppendixX1foralistofstandardsforheatandflameresistantprotectiveclothing.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotpertaintoapplicationswheretheconditionsofpotentialflamecontactorheatexposureareofanextendeddurationand/orareofahighintensity.Note18212;Examplesincludefirefightingapplications,exposuretohighenergyelectricalarcsandexposuresinflashfires.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.1.5Thisstandardmeasuresanddescribestheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section8,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
